Welcome to the latest issue of Connected magazine

We’ve got lots to update you with as it’s been a very busy few months, both within the telecommunications industry and at Cornerstone.

With the launch of 5G by some of the major telecom operators, Cornerstone has been working hard on preparing the upgrades to our existing sites and developing new ones. The numerous benefits 5G will bring is clear. Faster speeds, reduced latency and greater opportunities for remote technologies bring exciting opportunities. We want to ensure that we work together with our landlords to make the process as seamless as possible.

To further support 5G, Vodafone Limited (“Vodafone”) and O2 Telefónica UK Limited (“O2”) announced at the end of July that they have agreed to share 5G active equipment, such as radio antennas, on joint network sites across the UK. This collaboration means more people will get 5G sooner, helping to build a competitive UK digital economy.

Cornerstone welcomes the 5G network agreement between Vodafone and O2, demonstrating the desire to speed up 5G roll-out with new site sharing across the UK. This agreement will see Cornerstone continue to provide a vital and growing role at the heart of the digital transformation of the UK.

We’re also delighted to let you know that in July of this year Cornerstone passed the latest ISO audit. A fantastic certification achievement that highlights our approach and strategy to deliver effectiveness across our whole organisation. We are proud to have completed the Quality 9001 Management System audit which helps us to improve and monitor our operations. This demonstrates a continuous effort to fulfilling our obligation to our landlords, which enhances and delivers mobile services through stronger connections. We are delighted to have received this recognition from the British Standards Institute (BSI).
