Welcome to our latest issue of Connected

The start of 2020 has been busy for Cornerstone and all our suppliers, as we continue to roll out enhanced connectivity and 5G throughout the UK. By continuing to deploy and upgrade our mobile infrastructure in urban and rural areas, we are excited to be part of the opportunities and benefits that great connectivity and 5G is bringing to all areas of the country.

In this issue of Connected, find out how our Head of Assurance, Safety & Risk at Cornerstone has taken on the role of Vice-Chair at the Mast and Tower Safety Group. Discover the Government and major operator’s plans to reach 4G coverage in 95 percent of the UK by 2025, and learn more about 5G.

As part of our values to continuously deliver sharper solutions, I’d also like to share that we recently implemented a new business transformational programme within Cornerstone. The aim is to further improve our services to our landlords, customers and suppliers by enhancing our internal processes, procedures, systems, and technologies. At Cornerstone, we always strive to deliver excellence, and by introducing this programme, we are confident it will support our business to continue being the UK’s leading mobile infrastructure services provider.

Continuing the theme of excellence, I am also proud to announce that Cornerstone has recently been shortlisted for two categories in the World Procurement Awards for 2020! We have been shortlisted for The Procurement Transformation Award, and Stuart Farrell, Head of Supply Chain Management at Cornerstone, has been shortlisted in The Procurement Leader Award. The awards had a record number of 420 entries this year. This is yet another fantastic achievement for Cornerstone, showcasing how our colleagues work extremely hard to build strong relationships, to provide a service that impacts our landlords and customers.

We look forward to the final ceremony in May 2020, where the winners will be announced.
